Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Relationship Manager role based in Salem. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding new customers, explaining housing loan and loan against property offerings, and guiding applicants through the end-to-end loan process. The role includes assessing customer needs, collecting and verifying documentation, coordinating with credit and operations teams, and ensuring timely disbursement of loans. The Relationship Manager will maintain strong relationships with existing customers, provide post-disbursement support, and address service issues to promote customer satisfaction and retention. The role also involves achieving assigned business targets, conducting field visits, engaging with local partners and connectors, and adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong customer relationship management and client service skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term engagement.
Proficiency in sales, business development, and achieving targets in retail finance or related sectors.
Basic knowledge of housing finance products, loan against property, and credit evaluation processes.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial products clearly to diverse customers.
Good organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling loan files.
Comfort with fieldwork, local market networking, and working with self-employed and informally documented customers.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with branch, credit, and operations teams.
Graduate degree in any discipline; a background in finance, commerce, or business is an advantage.
Prior experience in housing finance, NBFCs, banking, or microfinance is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with local language(s) in Salem and basic computer skills (MS Office, digital tools) are beneficial.
