Typesider | Noida | Hybrid | Full-time | 0–3 Years
Compensation: ₹3–5 LPA
About Typesider
Typesider is a reward based Windows desktop application that turns everyday computer activity into tangible rewards.
Users earn Typoints based on keyboard keystrokes and mouse clicks while using their computers normally. Typoints can be redeemed for coupons, discounts, exclusive brand offers, and soon, cashback.
Typesider is designed to work seamlessly in the background and follows a privacy first approach. It counts activity volume but does not read, record, or store what users type or the content of their computer activity.
We’re building a consumer product where reliability, usability, privacy, and trust are critical.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer to help us test and improve Typesider as we continue developing and releasing the product.
You’ll work closely with the product and development teams to test the Windows application, identify bugs, explore edge cases, and ensure new features work reliably for real users.
This is a hands on role where you’ll have a direct impact on product quality.
What You’ll Do
• Test the Typesider Windows desktop application across different user scenarios
• Create, document, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and usability testing
• Test the complete user journey, including installation, onboarding, streaks, reward days, reward claims, and redemption
• Test new features and product updates before release
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and usability issues
• Document bugs clearly with steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior, severity, and supporting information
• Verify fixes and perform regression testing
• Test different Windows environments and user scenarios
• Work closely with developers and the product team to understand and resolve issues
• Think like a real user and identify issues that could impact trust, engagement, retention, and overall experience
• Help improve testing processes and documentation as the product grows
What We’re Looking For
• 0–3 years of experience in QA, software testing, or a related field
• Freshers and candidates with 1–3 years of experience are welcome to apply
• Good understanding of manual testing and software testing principles
• Ability to create and execute clear test cases and test scenarios
• Understanding of functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and usability testing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify bugs and edge cases
• Ability to write clear and reproducible bug reports
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working closely with developers and product teams
• Willingness to explore a product deeply and question how things work
Good to Have
• Experience testing Windows desktop applications
• Familiarity with Jira or similar bug tracking tools
• Basic understanding of API testing
• Exposure to automation testing or QA automation tools
• Experience testing consumer software or applications involving rewards, subscriptions, payments, or user accounts
What We Value
We’re looking for someone who doesn't just follow a checklist.
A good QA engineer should be able to ask:
What happens if the user does this?
What happens if the system fails here?
Can this feature be misunderstood or misused?
Does this actually work the way a real user would expect?
Your ability to think through these scenarios and uncover problems will be a major part of the role.
Why Join Typesider
Typesider is an early stage consumer product, so you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the team building the product and see your work directly influence releases.
You’ll be testing a product used by real users and helping build the quality standards and QA processes as the product grows.
