About The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Backend Node.js Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js, REST APIs, database management, and cloud deployment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
Build robust and secure RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
Develop reusable, efficient, and clean server-side code.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Work with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently.
Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and product teams.
Write technical documentation and maintain coding standards.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms when required.
Required Skills:
5+ years of professional experience in Backend Development with Node.js.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).
Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of REST API design and development.
Experience with Git for version control.
Knowledge of authentication methods such as JWT, OAuth, and session management.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Understanding of Docker and containerization is a plus.
Experience with Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka), or microservices architecture is an added advantage.
Knowledge of backend security best practices and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
