The Opportunity Alesa Ai is looking for a dedicated, technically proficient Flutter App Developer Intern to join our UK-based team. This is not a passive "shadowing" role. You will work directly on mission-critical, live mobile applications and modular software projects.
Our goal is simple: We want to train you over the next 6 months to become a permanent, full-time member of our development team.
Internship Structure & Compensation This is a 6-month commitment designed as a rigorous, performance-based trial:
Months 1 – 6: Probation and Training Period (Strictly Unpaid).
The End Goal: A permanent, paid job offer for candidates who meet our standards of excellence at the conclusion of the 6 months.
Terms of Retention: Continued participation is strictly dependent on meeting attendance, professional communication, and the timely delivery of high-quality code.
The Tech Stack You will work hands-on across our modern development environment:
Mobile Development: Flutter / Dart
State Management & Architecture: Riverpod & Clean Architecture
Networking & APIs: REST APIs, HTTP, JSON asynchronous integration
Database & Cloud: Supabase (PostgreSQL)
Local Storage & Caching: SharedPreferences, secure storage
Internship Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
Translating product requirements and UI designs into responsive, reusable, and production-quality Flutter interfaces.
Building robust client-side business logic, feature workflows, and state management using Riverpod.
Integrating REST APIs, authentication flows, and backend services with Supabase (PostgreSQL).
Implementing local data persistence, secure storage, and caching mechanisms.
Implementing and integrating AI features, including LLM-based functionality into mobile applications.
Collaborating with the team in a 30-40-hour-per-week, remote environment.
Participating in mandatory daily/weekly project meetings and technical sprints.
Applicant Requirements (Must Haves)
Proficiency in Flutter & Dart: Strong ability to build clean, responsive, and reusable mobile UIs.
State Management & Logic: Solid understanding of Riverpod (or Provider/Bloc) and clean application architecture.
API Integration: Experience connecting mobile apps to REST APIs, handling JSON, and asynchronous data operations.
Database & Local Storage: Understanding of Supabase/PostgreSQL integration alongside mobile caching and local persistence.
Commitment: Ability to work 30-40 hours per week (Full-Time) for the full 6-month unpaid duration.
Professionalism: Independent problem-solving skills, debugging ability, and strict adherence to deadlines.
Communication: English at a conversational/professional level and consistent meeting attendance.
Tools: Mastery of Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative workflows.
Bonus Skills
AI Integration: Experience integrating LLM APIs and mobile AI feature flows.
Testing & Deployment: Familiarity with Flutter unit/widget testing, Flutter DevTools, and generating Android APK/AAB builds for Google Play Store deployment.
