About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Role Overview
As a Product Manager, you'll support product initiatives across client engagements and our internal platforms. You'll work alongside senior product leads, engineers, designers, and client stakeholders, finding the sharp problem behind the request and turning it into something a team can build.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the discovery workshops, writing the stories, standing up a prototype to settle an argument, and checking that what shipped actually solves the problem. It suits someone early in their product career who wants breadth across industries and a steep learning curve.
What We're looking for
Must have
Meaningful end-to-end ownership of software products (typically 1-3 years in product management or an adjacent role), with strong product sense across problem framing, prioritization, simplification, and trade-offs
You find a way forward when you're blocked. You'd rather pull the data, sketch the mock, or make the call yourself than wait for someone else to clear the path
Curious, humble, and evidence-led; you hold opinions firmly and change them when the facts change
A builder's instinct: comfort creating prototypes and using modern AI development tools to answer questions yourself
Strong written communication; you can write a requirement someone else can build from without a follow-up call
Working knowledge of agile delivery: backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint ceremonies
Clear, confident verbal communication with senior stakeholders. You can walk a room through a recommendation, hold up under questioning, and concede when the counter-argument is better
Nice to have
Hands-on experience building and using APIs and MCPs
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics tooling
What you will do
Find the real problem. Locate the sharp problem behind a request, workflow, or business ambition; make assumptions explicit and challenge the initial solution when evidence points elsewhere.
Move from discussion to evidence. Get to answers fast through research, data analysis, interactive prototypes, technical spikes, synthetic scenarios, and small experiments.
Write the requirements. Translate business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Manage the backlog. Groom, prioritise, and keep it honest, sequencing work against business value, dependencies, and delivery capacity.
Work with delivery. Join stand-ups, refinement, and sprint reviews; unblock engineers by getting answers, not by escalating.
Validate what ships. Support UAT, review builds against acceptance criteria, and close the loop on defects.
Measure outcomes. Define success metrics up front, track them after launch, and tell the team what the data actually says.
Communicate. Prepare demos, status updates, and readouts for client stakeholders and internal leadership.
Build our capability. Contribute to internal product practices, templates, and AI-enabled ways of working that make the next engagement better than the last.
Why this role
You'll get real product ownership within months rather than years, across multiple industries, with senior people close enough to learn from and enough room to make your own calls.
