Role Description The Head Waiter is responsible for leading the front-of-house service team and ensuring smooth daily operations during all shifts. This full-time, on-site role in Jaipur includes greeting and seating guests, managing table assignments, coordinating orders with the kitchen, and overseeing food and beverage service quality. The Head Waiter monitors service standards, supports servers and support staff, and handles guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Additional responsibilities include training new team members, assisting with menu knowledge, checking overall cleanliness and setup of the dining area, and helping with billing and cash handling as needed. The role requires a proactive approach to customer satisfaction and effective communication with both guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills, including guest interaction, problem-solving, and a professional, courteous demeanor.
Experience with food & beverage and food service operations, such as serving, table management, and menu familiarity.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with the kitchen, guiding team members, and engaging with guests.
Basic cooking or food preparation understanding to communicate menu details and special requirements accurately.
Prior experience in a supervisory or lead server/head waiter role in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred.
Ability to work full-time on-site in Jaipur, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables and tasks under pressure.
Knowledge of basic billing and cash handling procedures; familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
Formal hospitality training or a relevant certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
