Role Description The Compliance Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tamil Nadu, India. This role involves supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing internal processes and documentation for adherence to regulatory guidelines, assisting with regulatory filings and reporting, and maintaining up-to-date records of compliance activities. The Compliance Associate will help conduct internal reviews, support audits, track remediation of compliance issues, and collaborate with operations, finance, and risk teams to address regulatory requirements. The role also involves staying informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations, preparing clear summaries and guidance for internal stakeholders, and promoting a culture of ethical conduct and compliance.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of compliance principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk management practices related to financial services.
Ability to review policies, procedures, and documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
Competence in data analysis, record keeping, and preparation of compliance reports and regulatory submissions.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and documenting findings and recommendations.
Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software) and basic compliance-related systems.
Demonstrated integrity, ethical judgment, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Bachelor’s degree in law, commerce, finance, business administration, or a related discipline; professional certifications in compliance or risk (e.g., compliance officer training) are an advantage.
Prior experience or internship in compliance, risk, audit, or financial services is preferred, especially within inclusive or microfinance-focused organizations.
