ROLE PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability, maximum machine availability and minimum production downtime through effective electrical, electronic, automation and control-system maintenance.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in PLC programming, CNC machine controls, servo systems, drives, VFDs, HMI, industrial automation and electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESElectrical, Electronics & Machine Maintenance
Lead breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems of:
CNC, VMC, DCMC, VTL, Laser Cutting, Fiber Laser, Shearing, Bending and Utility Equipment.
Diagnose faults in power circuits, control circuits, safety circuits, interlocks and machine interfaces.
Troubleshoot control panels, SMPS, transformers, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs and safety components.
Perform electrical panel modification, machine wiring, cable termination and control-circuit improvements.
PLC & Industrial Automation
Read, troubleshoot, modify and write PLC programs.
Diagnose PLC I/O, ladder logic, timers, counters, interlocks, alarms and machine sequences.
Troubleshoot PLC–HMI–Machine communication and field I/O issues.
Support automation modifications and machine sequence improvements.
Independently identify and rectify PLC-related machine faults.
CNC & Machine Control
Troubleshoot CNC / VMC / VTL electrical and electronic systems.
Diagnose CNC controller alarms and machine interface problems.
Troubleshoot:
Servo Motors & Servo Drives
Spindle Drives
Encoders
Turret / Tool Changer Systems
Coolant & Lubrication Systems
Machine Safety Interlocks
Sensors & Field Devices
Drives, Motors & Control Systems
Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, servo systems, spindle drives and VFDs.
Diagnose drive alarms, feedback/encoder issues and motor-control faults.
Verify drive parameters and support corrective actions.
Troubleshoot 24V DC control systems and 230/415V AC power systems.
Laser & Sheet Metal Equipment
Handle electrical and control-system maintenance of Laser Cutting / Fiber Laser machines.
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, drives, sensors, safety circuits and machine interlocks.
Maintain electrical/control systems of shearing and bending machines.
Troubleshoot electrical interfaces with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring machine failures.
Implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
Identify recurring failure trends and recommend machine/electrical improvements.
Support machine reliability and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Installation & Commissioning
Support machine installation, commissioning, shifting and electrical modification.
Participate in automation upgrades and machine improvement projects.
Coordinate with OEMs, machine suppliers and external service engineers during major breakdowns and commissioning.
Team Leadership
Provide technical guidance to electricians, technicians and junior engineers.
Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Automation and Utility teams.
Support technical skill development of the maintenance team.
Ensure effective resolution of critical equipment failures.

PLC / Industrial Automation certification, CNC / Automation training and relevant OEM technical training.
EXPERIENCE
5–10 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in:
CNC / Machine Tool Industry

Large-scale Manufacturing Plants
Preference will be given to candidates with strong hands-on experience in PLC programming, CNC troubleshooting, servo systems and industrial automation.
