Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to convert non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses first on revenue-generating enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is tailored to Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing. By valorizing agricultural residues, Cellumantra helps reduce farm-waste burning and dependence on imported enzymes and biomaterials, creating both environmental and economic impact for stakeholders.
Role Description This is a full-time remote role for SBLC/BG Discounting Consultants serving as Co-Founder. The role involves identifying and engaging global and domestic banks, financial institutions, and private lenders that issue or discount Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and Bank Guarantees (BG) to support project finance and working capital needs. The consultant will structure discounting transactions, coordinate due diligence, and negotiate terms to secure competitive financing for biorefinery assets and related infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include screening potential funding partners, preparing financial and transaction documentation, advising on risk mitigation structures, and monitoring ongoing SBLC/BG facilities. The Co-Founder will collaborate closely with the founding team on capital strategy, investor relations, and long-term financial planning, while contributing to overall business growth and governance.
Qualifications
Strong experience in trade finance and structured finance, including direct exposure to SBLC/BG issuance, discounting, monetization, or related instruments.
Proven ability to originate and manage relationships with banks, NBFIs, family offices, or private lenders for large-ticket financing transactions.
Solid understanding of credit risk assessment, collateral structures, and compliance requirements in cross-border and domestic financing.
Competence in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and evaluating project finance viability for industrial or infrastructure projects.
Prior leadership or co-founder experience in finance, fintech, infrastructure, or climate/cleantech ventures is highly beneficial.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, entrepreneurial environment.
Familiarity with sustainability-focused investments, green finance, or climate-related funding mechanisms is a plus.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications in trade or structured finance are an advantage.
