Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support the design and execution of workspace projects, from concept to completion, for enterprise clients. This full-time, on-site role is based in Gurugram and involves assisting in space planning, developing design concepts, preparing presentations, and creating detailed drawings and material boards. The role includes coordinating with senior designers, project managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure design intent is met within budget and timelines. The Junior Interior Designer will help with site measurements, design documentation, basic 3D visualizations, and selection of finishes, furniture, and fixtures aligned with client brand and functional needs. The role also involves maintaining design libraries, supporting design reviews, and contributing creative ideas that enhance the user experience in managed workspaces.
Qualifications
Foundational interior design skills, including space planning, concept development, and creating mood boards and material palettes.
Proficiency in design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM tools, SketchUp, and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite).
Knowledge of materials, furniture systems, lighting concepts, and basic understanding of building services relevant to commercial interiors.
Ability to interpret client requirements, support design presentations, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior internship or 0–2 years of experience in commercial or office design is preferred.
Awareness of sustainability principles, ergonomic standards, and contemporary workplace design trends is an added advantage.
