Role Description The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of GIS projects to support geo-spatial mapping and analysis for infrastructure and development initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing GIS data, overseeing the creation and maintenance of maps and spatial databases, coordinating with project teams and stakeholders, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards. The role involves supervising GIS staff, optimizing workflows, troubleshooting technical issues, and recommending tools and processes to improve efficiency and output quality. The GIS Manager will also collaborate with clients to understand requirements, present findings, and support decision-making through spatial analysis and visualization. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and hands-on experience with GIS Applications.
Experience managing Enterprise GIS environments, including system configuration, integration, and administration.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for spatial analysis, problem-solving, and data interpretation.
Solid Data Management capabilities, including data collection, quality control, storage, and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with industry-standard GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS, QGIS) and basic understanding of GPS, remote sensing, and mapping technologies.
Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with infrastructure, urban planning, or real estate development projects is an advantage.
