Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Manufacturing Engineer role based in Puducherry, India. The Junior Manufacturing Engineer will assist in planning, optimizing, and monitoring manufacturing processes for thermoformed plastic packaging. Responsibilities include analyzing production data, coordinating with maintenance and production teams, and helping implement standard operating procedures. The role involves hands-on work on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues, contributing to cost and waste reduction, and supporting new product and tooling trials.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates should possess skills in Machining and basic tooling concepts.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work collaboratively on the shop floor and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with safety standards, basic quality tools (e.g., 5S, root cause analysis), and continuous improvement practices is beneficial.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in manufacturing or packaging industries is an advantage.
Proficiency in a 3D modelling software - AutoCad/Catia is an advantage
