Role Description The Barista role is a full-time, on-site position based at Saplings Coffee Roasters in Nagpur. The Barista will prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and other café beverages according to company recipes and standards. Day-to-day work includes operating coffee equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, handling food preparation for light snacks or accompaniments, and managing cash or digital payments at the counter. The Barista will make excellent coffee,greet guests, take orders, answer questions about coffee and menu items, and provide attentive, friendly customer service. The role also involves restocking supplies, supporting opening and closing procedures, and collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth, efficient café operation.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Service, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills to create welcoming, positive guest interactions.
Barista experience or training, with the ability to prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty beverages consistently.
Food Preparation skills to handle simple café food items safely and hygienically.
Basic cash handling and POS operation skills, with attention to accuracy and reliability.
Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Willingness to learn about coffee origins, roasting, and brewing methods, and to educate customers when needed.
Prior experience in a café or hospitality setting is an advantage but not required.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
