Role Description The Facilities Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for ensuring reliable and safe operation of the company’s facilities and supporting core R&D and production activities. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing utilities systems, coordinating facilities operations. They also should develop and implementing facility management (FM) procedures that align with technical and safety requirements. The role involves planning and executing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and HVAC issues, and coordinating repairs with internal teams and external service providers so that the laboratory may run at maximum efficiency always. The Facilities Engineer will maintain documentation, monitor facility performance, support environmental, health, and safety standards, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize workspace layouts and infrastructure for laboratory and manufacturing environments.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Engineering and organise themselves to manage all systems, utilities, and technical infrastructure.
Candidates should possess skills in Facility Management (FM) to coordinate maintenance services, vendor management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance to diagnose equipment issues, reduce downtime, and extend the life of critical assets.
Relevant qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering or Science in Electrical, Material Science, etc related fields with experience in industrial or academic R&D, or manufacturing facilities.
Additional beneficial skills include knowledge of chemical and fabrication practices, familiarity with laboratory and cleanroom requirements, ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency with maintenance project management software.
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilities, along with a hands-on approach and willingness to work on-site in a dynamic clean energy environment.
