Role Description The Industrial Designer will contribute to the design and development of automotive accessories that align with M-TEK’s brand, manufacturing capabilities, and customer requirements. This full-time, on-site role based in Pune District involves creating concept designs, detailed product drawings, and 3D models for exterior and interior accessories, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product, engineering, and manufacturing teams; applying design thinking to solve user and manufacturing challenges; and supporting prototype development and testing. The Industrial Designer will refine designs based on feedback, participate in design reviews, and ensure that products meet quality, durability, and safety standards. The role also includes researching market trends, materials, and technologies to inform innovative design solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Industrial Design and Product Design, with a focus on automotive accessories or related products.
Candidates should possess skills in Prototyping and Product Development to translate concepts into feasible, manufacturable solutions.
Candidates should possess skills in Design Thinking to address user needs, functional requirements, and production constraints effectively.
Candidates should ideally have experience with 3D Design tools (e.g., Blender, keyshot, Unreal 3d) and
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of materials and processes such as metals, ABS, polymers, and surface finishing used in automotive accessories.
Candidates should have strong visual, aesthetic, and ergonomic sensibilities, along with attention to detail and quality.
Candidates should have effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site.
Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field is preferred.
