The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Backend Developer – DevOps with strong hands-on expertise in SFCC/SFRA backend development, integrations, APIs, Jobs Framework, Service Framework, and CI/CD to support and enhance large-scale global eCommerce platforms.
The role involves developing and maintaining SFRA-based storefront functionality, backend services, integrations, APIs, jobs, and business logic, while also supporting deployments, production troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous platform improvements.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, configure, and maintain scalable solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
· Develop and enhance SFRA-based storefront functionality, controllers, models, and business logic.
· Build and support integrations using OCAPI, SCAPI, REST APIs, and third-party services.
· Develop and maintain SFCC Jobs Framework and Service Framework implementations.
· Work with Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager (BM) for configuration and platform management.
· Develop and support multi-site and multi-locale eCommerce implementations.
· Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
· Collaborate with DevOps, backend, QA, product, and cross-functional teams to streamline build, deployment, and release processes.
· Troubleshoot and resolve production defects, application issues, and integration problems within agreed service levels.
· Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
· Support deployments, release validation, post-release activities, upgrades, and enhancements.
· Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
· Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.
· Drive continuous improvements in development, deployment, and eCommerce platform processes.
Must - Have Qualifications:
· Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development experience.
· Strong experience with SFRA architecture and storefront development.
· Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Controllers, ISML, and SFCC development best practices.
· Hands-on experience with OCAPI and SCAPI integrations.
· Strong experience with SFCC Service Framework and Jobs Framework.
· Strong understanding of REST APIs, Web Services, and integration patterns.
· Experience working on multi-site and multi-locale eCommerce implementations.
· Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager (BM).
· Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for backend applications.
· Hands-on experience with Git/version control.
· Experience working in Agile development environments.
· Experience with payment integrations such as Adyen, PayPal, Apple Pay, and digital wallets.
· Experience with OMS integrations, preferably Sterling OMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with fraud prevention platforms such as Forter or similar.
· Experience with tax integrations such as Vertex or similar.
· Experience with shipping and fulfilment integrations.
· Retail and omnichannel commerce experience.
Certifications:
· Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification – Preferred
