About the Role
The MIS Executive supports the IHA Reporting Team by preparing, validating, analyzing and distributing recurring and ad hoc operational reports. The role converts data from approved sources into accurate, timely and easy-to-understand information that helps stakeholders monitor performance, identify exceptions and make informed decisions.
The role is responsible for maintaining reporting schedules, reconciling outputs, documenting report logic, responding to reporting requests and continuously improving recurring work through standardization and appropriate automation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Report Preparation and Delivery
Prepare and distribute assigned daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc operational reports within agreed timelines.
Maintain report calendars, distribution lists, source locations, dependencies and delivery evidence for assigned reports.
Follow approved report formats, naming standards and communication protocols.
Coordinate with report owners and stakeholders when source data, requirements or timelines change.
2. Data Collection and Validation
Extract and consolidate data from approved databases, applications, Excel files and other authorized sources.
Validate completeness, record counts, filters, calculations, date ranges and business rules before releasing reports.
Reconcile report outputs against source data or control totals and investigate exceptions, duplicates or missing records.
Escalate unresolved data-quality or system issues with clear examples, business impact and supporting evidence.
3. Data Analysis and Business Insights
Analyze operational results to identify trends, variances, outliers and performance gaps.
Prepare concise observations that explain what changed, where attention is required and what additional review may be needed.
Support leadership and operational teams with drill-downs and ad hoc analysis based on approved requirements.
Present data in a clear format using tables, charts, dashboards and summary views appropriate to the audience.
4. Reporting Tools and Automation
Use advanced Excel functions, PivotTables, charts, lookups and formulas to build and maintain reporting solutions.
Use SQL to retrieve, join, filter and summarize data from approved reporting databases.
Build and maintain Power BI reports or dashboards where assigned and authorized.
Identify repetitive reporting steps that can be standardized or automated and coordinate improvements with team leadership and automation resources.
Support controlled automation of report generation and delivery through approved email, folder or FTP processes where applicable.
5. Documentation and Controls
Maintain report definitions, data dictionaries, query logic, calculation rules, SOPs, process maps and backup instructions.
Apply version control and change documentation to prevent unapproved or unexplained modifications.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with approved privacy, security, access and data-handling requirements.
Ensure critical reports have documented quality checks and continuity coverage.
6. Stakeholder Support and Team Collaboration
Understand reporting requirements, clarify expected outcomes and communicate delivery status professionally.
Respond to reporting questions with relevant data, clear explanations and appropriate supporting detail.
Collaborate with MIS colleagues, Automation Analysts, Operations, Planning, BI and other departments to resolve reporting dependencies.
Participate in team huddles, knowledge-sharing sessions, process reviews and training activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in MIS reporting, operational reporting, data analysis or a comparable role.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, conditional formulas, charts and data validation.
Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filters, aggregations and data-quality checks.
Experience preparing recurring and ad hoc reports in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong numerical ability, analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain report results to business stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting US healthcare, In-Home Assessment, contact-center, provider, planning or operations reporting.
Working knowledge of Power BI, including data preparation, visual design and dashboard maintenance.
Experience with Excel macros/VBA, Python or other reporting automation tools.
Knowledge of database concepts, MySQL, scheduled reporting, FTP or automated email distribution.
Exposure to process mapping, root-cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma or continuous-improvement methods.
