About the Role
We are looking for a MongoDB / Database Developer with a strong Python background to join our technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database development, query optimization, data modeling, and Python-based application development.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain MongoDB databases, collections, schemas, and indexes.
Develop and optimize MongoDB queries and aggregation pipelines.
Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for query and index optimization.
Work with developers to integrate MongoDB with Python-based applications and APIs.
Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing, migration, validation, and automation.
Perform CRUD operations and implement efficient database access patterns.
Design appropriate data models and database schemas based on application requirements.
Handle data migration, backup, recovery, and database maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and improve application/database performance.
Work with REST APIs and backend services to ensure efficient data flow.
Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
Maintain technical documentation related to database structures, processes, and configurations.
Required Skills
1–3 years of hands-on experience in MongoDB or database development.
Strong knowledge of MongoDB, including:
Collections and documents
Indexing
Aggregation Framework
Query optimization
Data modeling
Transactions
Good programming experience in Python.
Knowledge of Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask is an advantage.
Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
Good knowledge of database concepts such as:
Data modeling
Normalization/Denormalization
Query optimization
Indexing
Database performance
Basic understanding of SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Git/GitHub and version control.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of MongoDB Atlas.
Experience with database migration and ETL processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Exposure to Pandas, NumPy, or other Python data-processing libraries.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates with relevant hands-on project experience will also be considered.
