Role Description
The KNX Programmer will configure, program, and troubleshoot KNX-based smart home and building automation systems in an on-site, full-time role located in Hyderabad. Daily activities include reviewing project specifications, designing KNX topologies, creating group addresses, and implementing logic for lighting, HVAC, shading, and security controls. The role involves testing and commissioning installations, optimizing system performance, and resolving integration issues with other platforms and gateways. The KNX Programmer will collaborate with project managers, electricians, and system integrators, prepare technical documentation, and provide guidance to installation teams and end users. The position also includes maintaining standards for documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements, and staying current with KNX technology and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts relevant to automation and control systems.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for scripting, logic, and system integration.
Experience with Software Development and Back-End Web Development for APIs, gateways, and integration with smart home platforms.
Hands-on experience with KNX configuration tools (e.g., ETS), bus topology design, and field device programming.
Understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs) and IoT communication protocols is an advantage.
Ability to read electrical drawings, collaborate with on-site technical teams, and follow safety and quality standards.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in building automation, smart home solutions, or similar domains is preferred.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a diverse, multidisciplinary team environment.
