Role:
No cap, you won't be parked on toy tasks. You've got 1–2 years in already — you'll build real product surfaces used by students, work closely with design + product, and own features from idea to production.
We're looking for a product-minded SDE-1 who enjoys turning messy problems into fast, intuitive interfaces. You'll help shape and scale our ed-tech platform, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers in a high-ownership
startup environment.
What you'll build:
✦ Ship polished web experiences using React and Next.js, from reusable components to full product flows.
✦ Clock it: performance and quality matter. Improve Core Web Vitals, rendering, state management, reliability,accessibility, and responsiveness.
✦ Build developer-facing product surfaces around coding playgrounds, proctoring, and AI-powered learning experiences.
✦ Turn designs into production with strong attention to interaction details, edge cases, and delightful UX.
✦ Stay locked in: review code, squash bugs, and simplify complexity. Clean code over clever code.
✦ Collaborate tightly with product and design and contribute ideas, not just tickets.
What you bring :
✦ 1–2 years of professional experience shipping production web apps — you've done this outside a classroom.
✦ Strong fundamentals in JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, and Next.js.
✦ Comfort with state management such as Redux / Redux Toolkit and modern frontend architecture.
✦ Good debugging instincts, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
✦ Working knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
✦ Clear communication and the ability to work well in a fast-moving team.

✦ Your GitHub has receipts: you've built and shipped a frontend project people can actually click around in.
✦ Solid foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms.
✦ You use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot thoughtfully, not on autopilot.
✦ Experience with frontend testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
✦ You care about web performance, accessibility, design systems, or frontend tooling.
