Job Summary
A trainee working in Production plays a key role in assembling vehicles on the line by following well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role offers hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing processes and demands precision, attention to detail, and consistency. Trainees develop strong problem-solving skills, discipline, and the ability to work with focus in a dynamic shop-floor environment, while contributing directly to meeting production targets and upholding the highest quality standards.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Help in the production process, making sure that machines and equipment run smoothly and efficiently
Help test the functionality of parts and products and provide feedback on any issues
Suggest ways to make production more efficient and reduce costs
Always follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
Competency Required:
Functional
Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of tools like torque wrenches, machinery, and equipment used in the production process
Ability to diagnose issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Ability to maintain quality at every stage of production
Familiarity with process optimization techniques to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance output quality
Ability to maintain accurate records of processes, tests, and engineering documents.
Learn and subsequently perform activities, initially under supervision, at different stages of the assembly process according to given SOPs.
Train with the objective of being able to work at multiple stations (multiskilling) and across critical stages.
Learn and follow 5S and Kaizen practices.
Learn to achieve takt time through repetition and feedback.
Checking for visual or fitment defects and follow existing poka yoke mechanisms
