The Consultant, Data Governance is a key member of the Data Services team within the Data & Analytics Office (DAO), focusing on building and delivering robust data, BI, and automation products that support regulatory and audit requirements in a Risk and Compliance team environment.

Location: Bangalore / Pune (Hybrid model, 3 days per week in office)

Major Duties
Create Detailed Business Requirement documents (BRD), High Level Design (HLD) documents, process flows, cost and resource estimates, project planning, and implementation artifacts supporting regulatory and audit requirements.
Understand business processes, analyze multiple data sources and systems, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and collaborate with technical developers and business stakeholders.
Extract necessary data from systems, build processes, develop visualization dashboards, and address ad-hoc queries using SQL, PL/SQL, and Power BI.
Develop solutions that leverage/extend existing Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence infrastructure, integrate with data governance and enterprise solutions, remain scalable, repeatable, and effective, and follow agreed-upon governance and technology policies.
Identify opportunities for enhancing value propositions along the data chain, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
Plan and set up meetings with key stakeholders (Business, Risk, Compliance, IT), manage meetings through structured agendas, and document discussions.
Understand Data and Analytics projects from both business and technical aspects, support departmental data analytics needs, participate in special projects, and perform other duties in line with priorities.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferably from a Tier 1 institution).
Experience: 8-10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Database Developer in RDBMS platforms like Oracle or SQL Server, with data architecture/modeling skills.
Technical Skills: Mandatory database development experience in SQL and PL/SQL, alongside a conceptual understanding of data modeling and data warehousing.
Preferred Tools & Knowledge: Knowledge of ETL tools (such as DataStage or Informatica Power Center), intermediate working knowledge of data visualization tools (such as Power BI), exposure to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
