Description supplied by the original job listing.
Role: Solution Architect (Python · Cloud-Native Platforms)
Experience level required: 10-16 years
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu/Hybrid
Joining: Immediate to max 15 days
Key Responsibilities
Architecture ownership — produce and maintain solution blueprints, HLD documents, and Architecture Decision Records for every significant choice.
Microservices & event-driven design — define service boundaries, inter-service communication, idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling, and backpressure using Kafka, Pub/Sub, and EventArc.
API architecture — design and govern REST APIs, including OpenAPI contracts, versioning strategy, rate limiting, and gateway policy via Apigee.
Frontend architecture — define the React.js application architecture — component and folder structure, state management, routing, API integration and error handling patterns, authentication flows, build tooling, and performance budgets.
Security architecture — design OAuth2 and JWT-based authentication and authorisation, IAM least-privilege models, Secret Manager usage, and edge protection with Cloud Armor and global load balancing.
Data architecture — model and optimise PostgreSQL and SQL Server schemas; design BigQuery warehousing, partitioning, clustering, and cost-efficient analytical pipelines; define caching strategy with Redis and Memorystore.
Cloud platform design — architect workloads across GKE, Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, and Vertex AI, balancing performance, reliability, and cloud spend.
AI & GenAI enablement — define reference architectures for Vertex AI and GenAI workloads, including model serving, RAG patterns, Agentic AI, and Agentic AI SDKs.
Infrastructure as code — own the Terraform module design, environment promotion strategy, state management, and guardrails.
Technical Skills — Must Have
Languages & paradigms: Expert-level Python 3.x including AsyncIO, concurrency, and parallel processing; strong command of object-oriented and functional programming.
Frameworks & APIs: FastAPI REST framework; REST API design; OAuth2 and JWT authentication; GraphQL and gRPC exposure an advantage.
Frontend: Strong hands-on React.js — modern hooks, component composition, state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query), routing, form handling, and REST API integration; solid JavaScript and TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3, responsive design, and frontend build tooling (Vite or Webpack). Able to define frontend architecture standards and review frontend code.
Architecture: Microservices architecture, event-driven and streaming systems, Kafka, and Google Cloud Pub/Sub and EventArc.
Databases & caching: PostgreSQL and SQL Server — schema design, query optimisation, indexing, and performance tuning; Redis and Memorystore for caching, sessions, and rate limiting; MySQL exposure.
Data & analytics: BigQuery for large-scale warehousing, analytics, and reporting, including partitioning, clustering, and query cost optimisation.
Google Cloud Platform: GKE, Cloud Run, Vertex AI and Gen AI services, Artifact Registry, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL), Memorystore, Cloud Armor, Global and External Load Balancing, Apigee, Cloud Logging, Cloud Storage buckets, Secret Manager, EventArc, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
Containers & orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes — image optimisation, autoscaling, resource limits, and health probes.
Infrastructure as code: Terraform.
CI/CD: Tekton and GitHub Actions, with Git-based branching strategy and cloud deployment best practices.
Testing: Pytest, test-driven development, and automated quality gates in the pipeline.
Observability: Dynatrace.
Ways of working: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the full SDLC.
