About the Role
ChalksNBoard is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible **Finance Executive** to manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, reconciliations, and MS Excel, with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and meet statutory deadlines. These are commonly expected responsibilities for 1–2 year finance roles in Gurugram.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
* Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
* Handle **Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable** activities.
* Prepare and process invoices, bills, payment vouchers, and receipts.
* Perform regular **bank, vendor, and customer ledger reconciliations**.
* Assist in **GST calculations, reconciliations, and return filing**.
* Handle **TDS calculations, deductions, challans, and return-related work**.
* Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory compliance.
* Prepare monthly **MIS reports, expense reports, and financial summaries** for management.
* Assist in monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
* Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with clients/vendors for timely settlements.
* Maintain and update financial data using **Tally/ERP and MS Excel**.
* Support the management team with financial analysis and other finance-related requirements.
Required Skills
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Hands-on knowledge of **Tally Prime/ERP**.
* Good knowledge of **GST and TDS**.
* Proficiency in **MS Excel**, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas.
* Good knowledge of bank and ledger reconciliation.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualification
* B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
* 1–2 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
* Candidates with experience in an organisation, startup, or CA firm will be preferred.
