Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Housekeeping Attendant role based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur. The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to established standards of hygiene and presentation. Day-to-day tasks include making beds, replenishing amenities, handling linen and laundry items, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. The role also involves responding to guest requests, supporting room setup for special requirements, and coordinating with the housekeeping and front office teams to ensure timely room readiness. The Housekeeping Attendant is expected to follow hotel policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong organization skills to manage room cleaning schedules, inventory of linens and amenities, and maintain orderly work areas.
Practical experience or knowledge of laundry handling, including sorting, washing, drying, and proper care of fabrics.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond clearly and politely to guest requests.
Customer service skills to create a welcoming environment, address guest concerns professionally, and support a positive stay experience.
Ability to participate in and benefit from training programs focused on housekeeping standards, safety, and hygiene practices.
Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility for cleanliness and presentation.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Basic literacy and numeracy to follow instructions, fill checklists, and understand safety labels and procedures.
