Key Responsibilities:
1. 2. 3. Architecture & Product Design • Own end-to-end architecture for high-throughput, low-latency services and user-facing apps; define APIs, data models, caching, partitioning/sharding, and event flows. • Translate product requirements into architectural roadmaps and component designs (domain-driven design, microservices, API-first). • Drive “secure-by-default” patterns (Zero-Trust, principle of least privilege) and privacy-first data design. Full-Stack Engineering (Java-First) • Build backend services in Java/Spring Boot; design REST/gRPC APIs, asynchronous pipelines, and distributed workflows. • Contribute to front-end (React/Next or similar) and shared libraries; ensure cohesive UX with strong performance budgets and accessibility. • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevEx improvements (build speed, quality gates, developer tooling). High-Frequency Transaction Systems • Design for throughput, concurrency, and fault-tolerance (bulkheads, circuit breakers, idempotency, retry/backoff, message ordering). • Performance tune JVM, thread pools, GC, connection pools; establish SLOs and p95/p99 latency targets. • Introduce event streaming, queues, and exactly-once/at-least-once semantics where applicable. 4. 5. 6. Security & Compliance • Champion IAM/CIAM/IGA patterns (OAuth2/OIDC, SAML), secrets management, KMS, and robust RBAC/ABAC. • Partner with Security to embed threat modelling, secure coding, and automated security testing in the SDLC. Reliability & Observability • Define SLO/SLI/SLA, golden signals, and error budgets; implement tracing/metrics/logging dashboards (ELK/Grafana/OpenTelemetry). • Lead incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and resilience tests (chaos, failover, DR). Leadership & Collaboration • Mentor senior engineers; review designs/PRs; raise engineering bar via patterns, documentation, and standards. • Collaborate with Product on discovery, scoping, and MVP slicing; influence build-vs-buy and cost/perf trade-offs.
Qualifications & experience:
• 10+ years in software engineering with strong Java and Spring depth; proven full-stack delivery.
• Experience in designing/developing high availability and high scalability systems preferably on cloud.
• Experience in design heavy transaction management systems with both db and streaming services like Kafka and other cloud event hubs
• Experience in designing and executing DR planning and recovery.
• Experience in Blue/Green deployments and canary deployments is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ownership designing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems in production (≥ millions of requests/events/day).
• Hands-on experience with microservices, API-first architectures, caching strategies, and transaction integrity (idempotency, dedup).
• Solid grasp of cloud-native design (AWS preferred), containers/K8s, CI/CD, and infrastructure reliability
. • Strong understanding of security for web and APIs (authentication, authorization, secrets, data protection).
• Excellent system design skills and ability to influence architecture across teams.
• Background in BFSI, payments, or cybersecurity platforms preferred
