Role Description This part-time Senior Human Resources and Financial Portfolio Consultant role is based in Kolkata and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with the option for some work from home. The consultant will guide HR strategy and policy implementation, support employee relations, and advise on compliance with labor and employment regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and refining HR processes, coaching managers on people practices, and advising on workforce planning and organizational development. In addition, the role involves consulting on financial portfolio options related to life insurance offerings, supporting client-facing teams with insights on product suitability and risk management. Qualifications
Strong experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with the ability to provide strategic and operational guidance.
Knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Relations, including designing policies and resolving workplace issues fairly and consistently.
Solid understanding of Labor and Employment Law, with a track record of maintaining compliance and advising on regulatory changes.
Proven experience in financial or insurance consulting, portfolio advisory, or related fields within financial services.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with data-driven decision-making and risk assessment.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high professional standards.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications in HR or finance are an advantage.
