Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Kerala, India. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support Stellosys products and internal systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing back-end services and APIs, debugging and resolving technical issues, and participating in code reviews. The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, as well as contributing to architectural decisions and performance optimization. The Software Engineer is expected to document technical work, follow best practices, and stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the company’s stack.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side frameworks.
Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and familiarity with design patterns and modular code design.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), version control systems (e.g., Git), and basic software testing practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage tasks independently.
Experience with scalable distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), or DevOps practices is an advantage.
Interest in building impactful products, willingness to learn new technologies, and alignment with eco-friendly and ethical work practices.
