About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our client's engineering team and take ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability, and delivery pipelines for modern, high-availability products.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing production cloud environments across multiple cloud platforms, with expertise in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud networking, observability, and automation.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving platform reliability, and enabling development teams to deliver software quickly, securely, and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
● Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms.
● Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters and production workloads, including operators, service mesh, networking, and storage.
● Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent technologies.
● Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
● Automate infrastructure, deployments, operational processes, and environment provisioning.
● Implement and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent.
● Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
● Define and improve SLOs, SLIs, operational standards, and production reliability practices.
● Partner closely with development teams to improve deployment processes, environments, developer tooling, and overall engineering productivity.
● Identify and implement opportunities for cloud cost optimisation, performance improvement, and security enhancement.
● Contribute to cloud migration, modernisation, and platform engineering initiatives.
● Establish and promote best practices around cloud security, infrastructure automation, scalability, and operational excellence.
● Help mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and architectural decisions.
Must-Have Requirements
● 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a closely related role.
Requirements
● Proven hands-on production experience with at least two of the following cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP.
● Strong experience running Kubernetes in production, including cluster management, operators, service networking/service mesh, storage, and troubleshooting.
● Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience. Experience with equivalent IaC tools is also valuable.
● Solid experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
● Strong scripting or software development skills in Python, Go, Java, or a similar programming language.
● Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity/access management, and infrastructure architecture.
● Experience with cloud cost optimisation and performance tuning.
● Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring, including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent tools.
● Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident-management skills.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering and development teams.
Nice to Have
● Full-stack development experience across front-end and back-end technologies.
● Experience with data pipelines, event-driven architectures, or streaming technologies.
● Experience with cloud migration and large-scale modernisation projects.
● Professional-level AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
● Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent Kubernetes certification.
● Experience with FinOps, cloud financial management, and cloud cost governance.
● Experience with SRE practices, SLOs/SLIs, and reliability engineering.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is more than just a cloud infrastructure administrator — someone who can design, automate, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production environments.
You should be comfortable working across infrastructure, application delivery, security, networking, observability, and developer tooling. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how cloud infrastructure is designed and operated while helping engineering teams deliver reliable products at scale.
If you are passionate about cloud engineering, Kubernetes, automation, and building reliable production platforms, we’d love to hear from you!
