Company Description The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) at Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET), Panjab University, is dedicated to supporting students in building successful careers across engineering, IT, analytics, consulting, research and development, and operations. The Cell manages the end-to-end placement process, including campus interviews and continuous engagement with industry partners to gather and apply relevant feedback. TPC focuses on preparing students for career challenges by offering structured guidance, resources, and support throughout their academic journey. It also conducts career talks and workshops to strengthen communication skills and industry awareness. Overall, the Cell aims to create ample opportunities so students are confident and ready for the professional world.
Role Description The Member role at the Training and Placement Cell is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mohali district. Members assist in coordinating campus placement activities, including scheduling interviews, pre-placement talks, and company visits. They help maintain student and employer databases, collect and analyze placement-related information, and support communication between recruiters, faculty, and students. Daily tasks include drafting emails and notices, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting the organization of workshops, seminars, and career development events. Members also contribute to student outreach, feedback collection, and continuous improvement of TPC processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, recruiters, and faculty.
Candidates should possess organizational and coordination skills, including event management, documentation, and time management capabilities.
Candidates should possess basic technical and analytical skills, such as proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and data handling for reports.
Candidates should possess problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive attitude toward addressing student queries and placement-related issues.
Candidates should ideally be familiar with campus placement processes, career development activities, and industry interaction; prior involvement in student bodies or committees is an advantage.
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a relevant program at CCET or Panjab University, and be willing to commit to full-time on-site responsibilities in the Mohali district.
