Intermediate Accountant

Role Description
The Intermediate Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Gandhinagar. This role is responsible for maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The position includes preparing financial statements and reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring budgets, and supporting internal and external audits. The Intermediate Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies, and support tax and regulatory reporting. The role will also collaborate with operations and management teams to provide financial analysis, cost tracking, and data-driven insights for mining projects and corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or mining environments.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes; ability to prepare documentation and support auditors.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Gandhinagar, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic operational setting.
Previous experience as an accountant or intermediate-level finance professional, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
