Role Description This is a full-time Driver role with a hybrid work arrangement, based in Kunnamkulam with some work-from-home tasks such as reporting, scheduling, and documentation. The Driver will be responsible for operating trucks safely, completing assigned routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles before and after trips, loading and securing cargo, following traffic and safety regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The Driver will interact with customers and team members, communicate delivery status, and represent Nest wood in a professional manner. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating with dispatch, reporting mechanical issues, and supporting basic administrative tasks related to transport operations.
Qualifications
Strong truck operation skills, including safe Truck Driving and familiarity with truck handling and basic maintenance.
Valid CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle license, with a clean driving record and knowledge of relevant transport regulations.
Effective Communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, team members, and customers.
Customer Service skills to ensure respectful interactions, problem-solving on delivery sites, and professional representation of the company.
Ability to follow route plans, use navigation tools, and manage time efficiently.
Physical ability to load, unload, and secure cargo as required, following safety procedures.
Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards and company policies.
Previous experience as a commercial or truck driver is preferred; familiarity with local routes around Kunnamkulam is an advantage.
