Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Engineer Assembly role based in Chennai. The Junior Engineer Assembly will support the assembly, installation, and testing of packaging machinery and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and standard operating procedures. Daily responsibilities include assisting senior engineers, performing basic troubleshooting, maintaining tools and equipment, and documenting work completed on the shop floor. The role involves following safety and quality guidelines, coordinating with production and quality teams, and ensuring that assembled units meet technical specifications. The position is hands-on and requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles relevant to machinery assembly.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and assembly instructions.
Basic experience with hand tools, measuring instruments, and industrial equipment used in assembly operations.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to following safety and quality standards.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production staff.
Willingness to work in an on-site manufacturing environment in Chennai and adapt to shift or project requirements.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in machinery assembly or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
