Role Description The Design Engineer will support the development and refinement of mechanical and electromechanical components and systems for client projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing basic design calculations, and assisting in product design reviews and iterations. The role involves collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers to align design specifications, resolve technical issues, and prepare documentation for prototyping and testing. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site work and some work from home as project needs allow.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to practical design problems.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, along with experience preparing detailed engineering drawings.
Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts to collaborate effectively on electromechanical systems and integrated product designs.
Experience or interest in Product Design, including concept development, ergonomics, manufacturability, and iteration based on feedback.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Bengaluru, manage part-time schedules, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills; familiarity with industry standards and tolerance practices is an advantage.
Prior exposure to prototyping, testing, or finite element analysis (FEA) tools is beneficial but not required.
