About Move On Heritage Planner
Move On Heritage Planner is a new venture of Move on Leisure and Travels (India) Pvt. Ltd., a professionally managed Travel Management Company based in Thrissur, Kerala, serving travellers since 2008. The venture aims to preserve and activate Kerala’s living heritage by developing selected Illams, Manas, Tharavads, ancestral homes and other heritage properties as distinctive destinations for weddings, cultural programmes, corporate events, photography, heritage dining and immersive experiences—creating sustainable value for property owners and local communities.
About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Project Director to lead the end-to-end development and implementation of Move On Heritage Planner. The Project Director will translate the approved project vision and business model into a professionally managed heritage destination network, balancing conservation, commercial viability, destination development and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead project planning, implementation, milestones, budgets and performance monitoring.
· Identify, assess and onboard suitable heritage properties in coordination with owners and technical experts.
· Coordinate conservation, restoration, architectural, structural, environmental and heritage requirements.
· Develop approved properties into professionally managed event and experience destinations while protecting their heritage character.
· Oversee destination weddings, corporate events, cultural programmes, photography/film shoots, heritage dining and community events.
· Drive marketing, sales, partnerships and business development with tourism, wedding, MICE, event and creative-industry partners.
· Manage relationships with property owners, government/local bodies, professionals, vendors, communities, artisans and institutional partners.
· Monitor financial performance, revenue models, property profitability and commercial sustainability.
· Promote local employment, local sourcing and responsible heritage-event practices.
· Oversee project reporting, digital records, dashboards, KPIs, risk management and operational performance.
Candidate Profile
· Graduate/Postgraduate in Architecture, Heritage Conservation, Civil Engineering, Tourism, Hospitality, Event Management, Business/Project Management, Development, Cultural Management, Economics or a related field.
· 10–15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with 5+ years in senior management or project leadership.
· Demonstrated experience in at least two relevant areas: heritage/conservation, tourism destination development, hospitality/property management, event management, infrastructure/project implementation or business development.
· Strong leadership, strategic planning, commercial understanding, stakeholder management, negotiation and multidisciplinary team-management skills.
· Knowledge of Kerala’s traditional architecture, cultural heritage and responsible destination development will be an advantage.

Success Measures
Success will be measured through property onboarding, conservation implementation, venue activation, events and revenue, sales conversion, strategic partnerships, customer experience, local economic participation, sustainability and expansion from pilot properties to a Kerala-wide network.
Engagement Opportunity
The position may be structured as a full-time Executive/Project Director or, where appropriate, as a stakeholder/strategic partner with executive responsibility. The final arrangement will define authority, remuneration/returns, responsibilities and performance expectations.

Employment or Stakeholder-Based Engagement Model
The position of Project Director may be structured flexibly according to the ownership, investment and management requirements of Move on Heritage Event Planner. The Project Director may serve either as a full-time employee/director of the company or as a stakeholder/strategic partner with an agreed ownership or investment interest, subject to the company’s legal structure and governing documents.
Option A – Project Director as Employee / Executive Director
· The Project Director may be appointed as a full-time employee or Executive Director of the company.
· The person shall receive agreed salary/remuneration and may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
· The Project Director shall exercise the responsibilities and delegated authority specified in this role description.
· The appointment, remuneration, reporting relationship and delegated financial/operational powers shall be documented through an employment or service agreement.
Option B – Project Director as Stakeholder / Strategic Partner
· The Project Director may participate in the company as a stakeholder, shareholder, promoter, investor or strategic partner, subject to the applicable legal structure.
· The role may combine project leadership with strategic, financial, business-development or network-building responsibilities.
· Remuneration may be structured through agreed professional fees, profit share, incentives, dividends or other legally permissible arrangements.
· The stakeholder arrangement should clearly define ownership, decision-making rights, responsibilities, performance expectations, conflict-of-interest provisions and exit/transfer arrangements.
Option C – Stakeholder with Executive Responsibility
Where a stakeholder is appointed to lead implementation, the person may function as an Executive Project Director with day-to-day operational responsibility. The stakeholder’s ownership interest does not replace the need for clearly defined project targets, reporting requirements, delegated authority and accountability for results.
Recommended Provision
The company may retain the flexibility to appoint the Project Director either from within its professional management team or from among strategic stakeholders/investors, depending on the stage of the project and the expertise, investment capacity and leadership contribution required. In either arrangement, the Project Director shall remain accountable for the approved implementation plan and agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
