Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solid Work role based in Coimbatore. The role involves using SolidWorks or similar CAD software to design, model, and update agricultural machinery components and assemblies. Daily responsibilities include preparing detailed engineering drawings, collaborating with R&D and production teams, and ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements. The role also includes revising designs based on feedback, supporting prototype development, and maintaining organized documentation of models and revisions. The position requires close coordination with cross-functional teams on the shop floor to translate design concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in 3D CAD modeling and drafting using SolidWorks or equivalent mechanical design software.
Candidates should possess skills in mechanical design principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.
Candidates should possess skills in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Candidates should possess skills in collaboration with R&D, production, and quality teams to refine and implement designs.
Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills for design optimization.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Experience in agricultural machinery or heavy equipment design is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, communicate clearly, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
