Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mould Design Engineer based in Faridabad. The Mould Design Engineer will be responsible for designing injection, compression, and other industrial moulds using CAD tools and established design standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing product requirements and technical drawings, creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, and collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and performance. The role involves performing design calculations, selecting suitable materials and components, and supporting the production team during tooling fabrication, trials, and troubleshooting. The engineer will also participate in design reviews, implement design changes, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering for moulds and tooling.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting of mould components.
Knowledge of Product Design principles, including material selection, tolerance, and manufacturability considerations.
Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to moulds with integrated sensors, heaters, or automation.
Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field.
Experience in mould design for plastics, rubber, or die-casting is highly beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and customer specifications.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and capability to solve design and manufacturing issues.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with production, quality, and client teams.
Willingness to work on-site in Faridabad and support shop-floor activities during tooling trials and modifications.
