Role Description The Cost Control Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position is responsible for overseeing project and operational cost control activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure projects and business units remain within approved financial targets. The role involves preparing and reviewing cost reports, monitoring actual versus planned expenditures, and coordinating with project managers, finance, and operations teams to identify cost risks and implement corrective actions. The Cost Control Manager will establish and maintain cost control processes, contribute to tender and project pricing, and support management with timely, accurate cost-related insights. The role also includes continuous improvement of cost management tools and methodologies, and adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Strong cost control and cost management skills, with experience implementing effective cost monitoring and optimization practices.
Proficiency in analytical skills and cost reporting to interpret financial data, prepare detailed cost analyses, and present clear reports to stakeholders.
Experience in project control, including budgeting, tracking project financial performance, and managing cost-related risks across multiple projects.
Solid understanding of financial principles, management accounting, and ERP or project accounting systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, PMP) are an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex financial information clearly, and support decision-making.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering project environments is highly beneficial.
