Role Description This part-time remote role combines DevOps engineering and associate software development responsibilities to support the firm’s technology infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and improving cloud-based environments, implementing infrastructure as code, and managing Linux systems for reliability and security. The role also involves contributing to software development efforts, enhancing tooling for the investment and operations teams, and integrating continuous integration pipelines to streamline deployment workflows. The DevOps Engineer / Associate Software Engineer will collaborate with technical and investment staff, troubleshoot system issues, and document processes to ensure consistent and scalable operations.
Qualifications
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including designing, implementing, and maintaining automated infrastructure configurations.
Software Development experience, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code and support internal tools and applications.
Continuous Integration expertise, including setting up and optimizing CI pipelines and integrating testing and deployment workflows.
System Administration and Linux proficiency, including managing servers, monitoring performance, and ensuring security and reliability.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and version control systems such as Git.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
