Role Description The Indirect Tax Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of indirect taxation, with a strong focus on Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance and related regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include overseeing indirect tax filings, reviewing tax calculations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and responding to queries from tax authorities. The role involves leading tax audits, monitoring changes in tax laws, identifying risks, and implementing controls to ensure accurate and timely compliance. The Indirect Tax Manager will also prepare reports, support process improvements, and provide guidance to the finance and business teams on indirect tax matters.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge and practical experience in Indirect Taxation and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Demonstrated expertise in Tax Compliance, including timely filings, documentation, and tax reporting.
Hands-on experience handling Tax Audits and managing interactions with tax authorities.
Broad understanding of Tax principles and their application in corporate and consulting environments.
Professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or relevant postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation.
Proficiency in accounting and tax software, MS Excel, and data analysis tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Experience in consulting or working with multiple clients and industries is an advantage.
