🏢 About ReMOAT
ReMOAT is an engineering-first developer tools platform revolutionizing how web teams debug live customer and staging environments. Built on zero-server WebRTC DataChannels with sub-10ms latency and zero cloud data storage, ReMOAT provides interactive Chrome on macOS DevTools fidelity directly inside remote browsers.
With our v3.2.2 release live across the Chrome Web Store, JavaScript SDK, and Developer Portal, we are scaling our product presence across global developer ecosystems.
🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious, hands-on Technical Product Manager Intern who lives at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, technical content, and developer community building.
You will work directly alongside the founders and core engineering team. This is not a theoretical, slide-deck internship — you will own real product roadmaps, produce technical teardowns, draft release changelogs, create video walk-throughs, and drive community awareness across developer platforms.
📌 Core Responsibilities1. Social Media & Developer Community Management
Channel Ownership: Manage and scale ReMOAT's developer presence across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit (r/webdev, r/reactjs, r/javascript), Discord, and Hacker News.
Launch & Review Campaigns: Coordinate launch visibility, upvote/review campaigns on Product Hunt, dev.to, and specialized software directories.
Community Engagement: Respond to developer inquiries, troubleshoot questions, and turn user feedback into community-led growth loops.
2. Feature Management & User Feedback Loops
Backlog Triage: Prioritize bugs vs. feature requests from customer logs, demo sessions, and GitHub issue trackers.
PRD & Spec Writing: Draft clean, concise Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) detailing user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases for upcoming features.
Competitive Benchmarking: Monitor peer devtools (e.g., LogRocket, Sentry, Chrome DevTools Protocol integrations) to identify feature differentiation.
3. Technical Content & Deep-Dive Blog Writing
Technical Articles: Write high-converting, deeply technical SEO blogs on topics like WebRTC DataChannels, iOS Safari remote debugging, P2P telemetry, and real-time DOM mutation trees.
Developer Guides: Author step-by-step tutorials explaining how developers integrate the @remoat.dev/sdk and Chrome Extension into React, Next.js, Vue, and vanilla setups.
Thought Leadership: Formulate opinionated developer teardowns highlighting the advantages of zero-cloud storage and ephemeral debugging.
4. Future Product Roadmaps & Strategic Planning
Milestone Planning: Collaborate with leadership to maintain and update the quarterly roadmap tiers (Core WebRTC, Mobile WebViews, AI Root-Cause Diagnostics).
Impact vs. Effort Scoring: Apply structured prioritization frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW) to balance core infrastructure with quick-win developer tooling.
Telemetry & Metrics: Monitor portal adoption, session creation rates, and extension installs to guide data-driven roadmap adjustments.
5. Changelogs, Release Notes & Documentation (Logs)
Release Communication: Maintain comprehensive, user-friendly changelogs for each production release (v3.2.x+).
Internal & External Logs: Translate complex git commits and engineering diffs into customer-facing value bullets.
Documentation Maintenance: Ensure technical documentation, API specs, and FAQ pages stay in sync with shipped production code.
6. Video Creation & Interactive Feature Demos
Short-Form Content: Script, record, and edit engaging 30–60 second video clips (LinkedIn video, YouTube Shorts, X videos) showcasing real-world debugging workflows.
How-To Walkthroughs: Produce clear, 2–3 minute video tutorials demonstrating end-to-end features (e.g., "How to inspect a remote user session in 10 seconds without asking for screenshots").
Interactive Sandbox Demos: Design sample broken apps and reproduction scenarios for live demo environments.
🛠️ Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Foundation: Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or demonstrable hands-on web development experience (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
Product Mindset: Strong curiosity for software architecture, developer user journeys, and product usability.
Written Communication: Exceptional technical writing ability in English. Able to explain complex systems clearly without fluff.
Content Creation Skills: Comfortable recording screen captures and editing clean, professional demo videos with screen annotations.
Self-Starter: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy startup environment where initiative is rewarded.
🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with Chrome DevTools (Console, Network waterfall, DOM inspection).
Basic understanding of WebRTC, peer-to-peer networking, or browser extensions (Manifest V3).
Prior experience writing on Medium, dev.to, Hashnode, or LinkedIn.
Experience with video tools (Loom, CapCut, Premiere, OBS, or Screen Studio).
🎁 What You Will Gain
Real Product Ownership: Direct ownership of features, blogs, and videos impacting thousands of developers globally.
Mentorship from Founders: Work directly with senior software architects and founders building cutting-edge P2P infrastructure.
Pre-Placement Offer (PPO): Exceptional performers will be considered for full-time Associate Product Manager (APM) or Developer Advocate positions.
Portfolio Assets: Direct bylines on published technical blogs, public roadmap contributions, and credited production releases.
Certificate of Internship & Letter of Recommendation (LOR) upon successful completion.
