Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries, build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, and develop strategies to expand market share for enzyme and probiotic solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, preparing and delivering client presentations, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal technical and marketing teams to shape offerings. The role also involves monitoring industry trends, maintaining a robust sales pipeline, and providing regular reports and forecasts to leadership. The Business Development Manager is expected to represent the company at industry events and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing deals.
Experience in client relationship management, account management, and partnership development within B2B environments.
Ability to conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and develop strategic plans for growth.
Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Background or understanding in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related fields; experience with enzymes or probiotics is an advantage.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlines.
Comfort working on-site in Mumbai and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, technical support, and marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or MBA is beneficial.
