Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager role based in Chandigarh. The Production Manager oversees daily production operations, ensuring that frozen and freeze-dried food products meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Responsibilities include planning production schedules, coordinating with procurement and quality teams, monitoring equipment performance, and optimizing workflows to reduce waste and downtime. The role involves managing and training production staff, enforcing food safety and regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate production records and reports. The Production Manager also collaborates with management on process improvements, capacity planning, and implementation of new technologies and products.
Qualifications
Strong production planning and operations management skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
Experience with food manufacturing processes, preferably frozen or freeze-dried foods, and familiarity with IQF or similar technologies.
Knowledge of quality assurance, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI or equivalent).
Proficiency in team leadership, staff training, and performance management within a plant or factory environment.
Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and reliability.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant production management experience in food or FMCG is highly preferred.
Comfort with using basic production management software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
Willingness to work on-site in Chandigarh and adapt to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
