Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Principal Investments role based in Mumbai. The Principal Investments professional will be responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across target sectors, including conducting detailed financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence. The role involves developing investment theses, structuring transactions, preparing investment memos, and presenting recommendations to internal committees and senior leadership. Day-to-day activities include monitoring portfolio performance, identifying value-creation levers, managing stakeholder relationships, and tracking market trends and regulatory developments. The individual will collaborate closely with investment banking, wealth management, and asset management teams to align principal investments with the firm’s overall strategy.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis.
Expertise in investments and investment management, with experience in deal execution and portfolio oversight.
Solid foundation in finance, including corporate finance, capital markets, and risk assessment.
Proficiency in developing and evaluating investment strategies across sectors and asset classes.
Relevant experience in principal investing, private equity, investment banking, or asset management.
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA, MBA) are an advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
High level of integrity, sound judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
