The Cash Management Strategic Sales Lead is a strategic professional. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for client advisory to increase cash management pipeline for both fast-growing and strategically important clients
Drives payments revenue growth and commercialization of upcoming new digital products
Spearheads overall commercialization of toolkits and content, to equip Sales and Banking teams to have maximal business impact
Assesses client trends to identify gaps and opportunities for Citi’s value proposition
Provides detailed insights to product and market management teams
Works closely with Product Management to refine solution development, product positioning and packaging
Provides thought leadership in cash and treasury management trends and best practices
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time
Qualifications:
15+ years commercial banking experience, preferably within roles of increasing responsibility
Demonstrated success driving business results through effective sales management
Proven track record of initiating, executing and growing complex client relationships
MBA preferred
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
