Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur for Anchor on-ground reporting (interns) and News Editors. Anchors will conduct field reporting, gather information, interview sources, and present news stories on camera from various locations within the city and surrounding areas. News Editors will review incoming content, verify facts, structure stories, and prepare scripts and bulletins for broadcast. Both roles will collaborate with producers, camera crews, and other newsroom staff to meet daily deadlines, maintain editorial standards, and support live and recorded news segments. Intern anchors will gain practical training in field reporting and presentation while contributing to the daily news workflow.
Qualifications
Strong reporting skills, including gathering information, interviewing, and working on on-ground news assignments.
Broadcasting and Presenter abilities, with confidence in front of the camera and clear, professional on-air delivery.
News Writing skills, with the ability to draft concise, accurate, and engaging scripts and story copy.
Understanding of Broadcast Journalism principles, including ethics, verification, and editorial standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Hindi, and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Basic familiarity with news production tools, cameras, or editing software is an advantage.
Relevant coursework or degree in journalism, mass communication, or media studies is preferred but not mandatory for interns.
