Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal for a Lab Technician cum Quality Supervisor (Fabrication Only). The role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting tests on fabricated components, and documenting results to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. The individual will oversee quality control activities for fabrication processes, inspect materials and finished products, and coordinate with production teams to address non-conformities. Responsibilities include preparing test reports, maintaining laboratory records, supporting internal and external audits, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The role also requires adherence to safety protocols, continuous monitoring of process parameters, and contribution to ongoing improvements in product quality and fabrication practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including experience with laboratory equipment and standard testing procedures.
Candidates should possess skills in quality control and inspection within fabrication or related manufacturing environments.
Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to interpret test data, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
Candidates should possess practical experience as laboratory technicians or in a similar technical role in heavy fabrication or structural components.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and documentation practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with bridge bearings, expansion joints, structural steel fabrication, or heavy engineering products is an advantage.
Ability to read technical drawings, follow standard operating procedures, and work collaboratively with production and quality teams.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety and compliance.
