Role Description This full-time Civil Designer role is a hybrid position based in Pune City, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. The Civil Designer will prepare and refine civil engineering drawings and models, including grading plans, site layouts, and utility plans, in coordination with project engineers and architects. Day-to-day tasks include developing site plans, applying erosion control measures, and designing stormwater and drainage systems in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. The role involves reviewing project requirements, performing basic calculations, updating project documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, timely deliverables. The Civil Designer will also assist in quality checks, incorporate review comments, and support continuous improvement of design processes and templates.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Civil Engineering Design, including grading, roadways, utilities, and land development projects.
Experience preparing Site Plans and related civil drawings, with attention to local codes, standards, and constructability.
Knowledge of Erosion Control principles and practices, including sediment control measures and mitigation strategies.
Understanding of Stormwater and Stormwater Management systems, including drainage layouts, detention/retention design, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent civil design tools).
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to interpret engineering documents, specifications, and survey data, with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with remote and onsite project teams.
Organized work habits, ability to manage multiple tasks, and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
Prior experience supporting AEC projects or working with global engineering teams is an advantage.
