Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a MEP Planning Engineer based in Trivandrum. The MEP Planning Engineer will develop and maintain project schedules for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities, coordinating closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution. The role involves preparing resource and material plans, monitoring progress against baseline schedules, and updating reports and dashboards for project control and management review. The engineer will analyze project data to identify risks, delays, and performance issues, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track. Additional responsibilities include supporting cost and time optimization, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and facilitating clear communication among stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills to develop realistic schedules and resource plans for MEP works.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Project Control capabilities to monitor progress, interpret project data, and implement corrective measures.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
Relevant experience in MEP planning within construction or fit-out projects, preferably with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera or equivalent) and standard MS Office applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong attention to detail, ability to work to deadlines, and a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
Familiarity with local codes, standards, and safety regulations; prior experience in GCC or Indian projects is an advantage.
