Role Description This is a full-time, Geotechnical Engineer role based at KBMERL
office at Ahmedabad. The role involves planning and supervising site investigations, including field testing, sampling, and data collection to assess subsurface conditions. The Geotechnical Engineer will analyze soil and rock properties, perform geotechnical modeling and stability assessments, and prepare technical reports and recommendations for foundations and earth structures. Responsibilities include supporting foundation design for buildings and infrastructure, collaborating with civil and structural engineers.
Qualifications
Strong skills in site investigation, including planning fieldwork, supervising in-situ tests, and interpreting subsurface data.
Solid understanding of soil mechanics and soil behavior, including classification, testing, and analysis of soil and rock properties.
Expertise in geotechnical engineering, including slope stability, earth retaining structures, and ground improvement techniques.
Proficiency in foundation design, including shallow and deep foundations, settlement analysis, and bearing capacity calculations.
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering with more than five years experience.
Experience with relevant geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, MIDAS, GEOStudio, LPILE and other similar geotechnical software) along with ACAD.
Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills, with attention to accuracy and clarity.
Prior consulting experience in geotechnical engineering is an advantage.
